Leitch
Heating & Air Conditioning HVAC is a locally owned and
operated full service residential, business, and commercial heating,
air conditioning and ventilation air duct contractor.
Since 1992, we have been installing and servicing heating and cooling
equipment, and improving indoor air quality in the Anne
Arundel County, Prince
Georges County, Charles
County and Calvert County, Southern Maryland areas.
About Us
At Leitch Heating and Air we install a large quantity
of heating and air conditioning systems in new homes so we operate our
own full service sheet metal shop in Southern Maryland. It is
manned by experienced sheet metal mechanic professionals who put every
new installation through a rigorous quality control inspection. We also
have an installation and service department for existing homes that
services almost all brands of equipment including American Standard,
EOS solar, EWC controls, Excellence without Compromise, Aprilaire, and
Ultravation and also backup electric generators. Our latest and
greatest product will be solar systems. We believe our sheet metal mechanics
and installation personnel are the best in the industry and we encourage
strong work ethics and quality workmanship in all of our employees.
Going Green
Before it was cool to be "Green," Leitch HVAC was saving our
customers energy dollars. Since 2001, we have recycled dumpsters
full of sheet metal that would have normally ended up in landfills.
Heating and ar conditioning usually accounts for 33% of your energy
bill so the efficiency of your system can really make an impact on your
electric bill. Most people want a higher SEER rating on the equipment
they buy but they overlook the fact that a leaky or poorly designed
duct system will highly affect the efficiency of the system. A
system is only as good as its individual parts. Leitch pays high
attention to detail to make our installation as efficient as possible.
Dirty components of your system affect how much energy is
needed to heat or cool your home so our preventative maintenance agreement
insures your system works as new as possible.
Our Technicians
Our well mannered service technicians are all CFC (or chlorofluorocarbon)
certified by EPA licensing agencies and truly are trustworthy. They
answer all of your questions and make sure you understand their answers.
Our service technicians are on call for all inconvenient emergencies
and are available during normal working hours for the maintenance that
prevents them. We also offer service agreements for those who like to
think ahead.
Annual Maintenance Agreements
Many equipment manufacturers’ warranties require that you have
an annual maintenance agreement. So, you shouldn't think about
going without HVAC maintenance anymore than you would go without an
oil change in your car. Our service agreements include many tests and
inspections which can diagnose small problems before they turn into
large expensive ones. What this does is save you valuable energy dollars,
extend the life of your equipment, and makes it less likely to have
a system that will leave you hot & bothered. As an added bonus,
you also receive a 10% discount on all products and services we provide
on the system(s).

Indoor Air Quality
Humidifiers
In
the wintertime most of us experience dry skin or dry throats in their
homes so they feel the need to get a portable humidifier because of
indoor humidity changes. Since the portable only helps in small
areas, what about protecting your hardwood floors, trim, and furniture
from expansion and contraction damage associated with indoor humidity
changes? The alternative would be to get a properly sized and
installed whole house humidifier, which allows you to set your thermostat
lower in the winter, while maintaining the same or greater comfort levels,
saving you hundreds of dollars a year. Excessively dry air makes
your sinuses and throat more susceptible to airborne sicknesses. So
you see, a whole house humidifier keeps you more comfortable, makes
you less likely to become sick, and gives you a much needed break on
your utility bills.
Air Cleaners
Now I know that many people have heard how polluted your indoor air
can become.
We provide highly efficient air cleaners that improve IAQ, or "indoor
air quality" that can help keep you breathing cleaner air.
Our air cleaners remove particles from the air that are small enough
to pass through a regular filter. Installing a high efficiency
air cleaner will give you cleaner air, keep your system running more
efficiently and require your filter to be changed or cleaned less frequently
than standard filters (depending on the model). We also have products
that address more stubborn pollutants than simple particles, such as
viruses and mold, (a known source of allergic reactions and respiratory
illness).
